School Bell
Bringing you news from the Bythams Primary School
Although the term has only just begun, there
are many great things that have already
happened. The new intake has doubled this
year, and this has led to us re-introducing
Hedgehogs class. Our outside reception area,
which was installed towards the end of last
year, is being used almost all day while the
weather holds. With a train and a castle to
interact with, as well as a car wash (toy cars!)
being set up on the playground, there has been
lots to keep the youngest of our learners busy
during their first week at school.
In Squirrels class, the room has had an
amazing makeover with leafy reading corners
and new role-play areas added. The children
have been become honorary pirates and have
sailed off into their learning about the seven
continents and oceans!
Foxes class has been very creative so far
this term, with some artwork completed in
drawing sweets and their interesting wrappers.
Mrs Kay was impressed with the pupils'
technique and concentration.
Badgers class began on day one with a
World War Two History escape room,
returning from assembly to find their classroom
had suffered bomb damage. It was reliant on
them solving clues whilst learning about the
war in order to escape from the room!
Lots is happening at the Bythams' Primary
already this year and we are open to giving
tours to prospective parents of children who will
begin school in 2026!
