CASTLE BYTHAM VILLAGE HALL
LITTLE BYTHAM VILLAGE HALL
Wednesday 15th October at 7.30pm
Tuesday 6 November at 7.30pm
September's Parish Council meeting saw reports
from both the District and County Council, as
well as representations from members of the
public. Anyone is welcome to come along to the
Parish Council, and there is an opportunity to
speak at the start of each meeting.
Our County Councillor Charlotte Vernon
reported on the County's objection to the
National Grid plans for the power lines that
may run in the very north of our Parish. She
also gave an update on the Local Government
Reorganisation. More can be found out here at
www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/yourlincolnshire
Our District Councillor Penny Robins
shared updates on the bin collection date
change, which all residents should have had
notice of. If you missed it and need your bin
collecting, you can get in touch with SKDC
for the first collection. Cllr Robins also shared
news of a food waste bin that will be
announced in the future by SKDC.
Our Planning Subgroup reported on local
planning updates, including their
disappointment that SKDC appears to have
failed to make a decision in time for the
ongoing building works at 9 Pinfold, forcing
the applicant to appeal to the Secretary of State
for 'non-determination', which could come at
the cost to the taxpayer. SKDC Planning
Department is under strain, according to Cllr
Robins, and has asked for patience.
The Amenities Subgroup updated the
Parish Council on the mowing schedule plans
for the village communal areas for 2026, and
updates on the plan to repair the village sign
on the Lower Green.
Our next Parish Council meeting is on 15th
October and all are welcome!
