TALES OF TINY TOTS
What were the under-5s in our villages getting up to in November
Last month the children were very
busy celebrating Halloween, dressing
up in spooky costumes. We went
exploring with our Halloween role
play, making potions with bones, rats,
and spiders to see if we could turn
each other into frogs! The children
also enjoyed carving out pumpkins
and making pumpkin prints using
apples and paint.
We have also been looking at
how we keep our teeth clean and
why it's important to visit the dentist.
The children have enjoyed playing in
dentist role play sessions, checking
teeth and learning about why we
clean our teeth as well discussing
which foods are bad for them.
In November we also had fun
playing with conkers, emptying and
filling containers to see which ones
were the heaviest and how many
conkers we could collect. And we
counted them to see who had most.
The babies have been exploring
winter animals in the baby room,
playing with lots of different animals
that live in the cold and ice.
The children also celebrated
Remembrance Sunday by making
their own poppy print pictures. We
watched a video on why it's important
to celebrate the day and why poppies
are a meaningful symbol.
The children are looking forward
to the coming month with lots of
Christmas celebrations to take part in,
including our party and nativity play.
