CASTLE BYTHAM VILLAGE HALL
LITTLE BYTHAM VILLAGE HALL
15 April at 7.30pm
The March Parish Council meeting saw a number
of issues discussed. We heard representation from
the public with former Parish Council Chair, Peter
Hinton, giving a detailed overview of the street
signage situation in Castle Bytham, a report we
were grateful for.
We also had the opportunity to ratify the
recommendation of the Personnel Committee in the
offer of the Clerk’s position to Ben Cullis on a
permanent basis. Ben had been covering the
position temporarily and we are thankful for his
work so far.
We heard from Cllr Penny Robins our SKDC
District Councillor. Penny informed us of an SKDC
Crisis Resilience Fund available for anyone to
apply for help with cost of living, for example a
boiler upgrade. More information can be found
here: https://www.southkesteven.gov.uk/help-andsupport/crisis-resilience-fund
The Planning Group discussed a few up and
coming applications, and responses will be sent to
SKDC planners. And we heard from the Working
Group Committee who discussed issues like the
recent damage to the bus shelter at the Upper Green
as well as repairs to the play equipment in the
recreation ground.
It was also discussed and agreed to hold a litter
pick in the village on 11th April where everyone is
welcome and will be provided with the equipment
they require. If you are keen to take part in keeping
our village clean, please email me at
mike.brooman@castlebythampc.gov.uk
Finally, please email clerk@castlebythampc.gov.uk
with any issues you wish to discuss.

CAREBY, AUNBY AND
HOLYWELL
PARISH MEETING – 2026 AGM
TO BE HELD IN CAREBY CHURCH
Thursday 7 May 7.30pm
Careby, Aunby and Holywell are too small to
have a Parish Council but under local government
legislation we have Parish Meetings twice each
year.
These are meetings of the civil parish and all
registered electors in the parish are welcome to
attend and contribute fully to the meetings.
A major focus of this AGM will be the
flooding in and around the bottom end of Careby.
If you would like to be added to the Parish
Meeting email circulation list, please contact
Dave Bryant at cahparishmeeting@gmail.com.
