TALES OF TINY TOTS
What were the under-5s in our villages getting up to in May?
In May the children at the Railway
Children’s Day Nursery were making the
most of the lovely sunshine we have been
having. We got busy playing in the sand,
making castles and seeing who could
construct the biggest. The children also
found sticks and leaves in the garden
which they added to their sand castles.
We were also busy planting seeds and
learning about what flowers, vegetables
and fruit need in order to grow. The
children had their own garden centre in
the role play area where they were digging
and exploring the different seeds, talking
about how they need water, soil and
sunshine to grow well. The children were
also helping to plan what we can grow
next in our garden over the summer.
This month the pre-school children
were invited to The Bytham's Primary
School to join them for their VE Day
celebration picnic. The children helped to
make their own sandwiches and prepare
some fruit to take with us for our yummy
picnic. We all had a lovely afternoon
celebrating with the big children at school.
Our school leavers are now looking
forward to their upcoming taster sessions
at their new primary schools over the
coming months.
