School Bell
Bringing you news from the Bythams Primary School
Pupils from The Bythams Primary School
enjoyed an exciting and educational day at the
Lincolnshire Show in June. The trip, part of the
school's commitment to outdoor learning and
community engagement, offered a unique
hands-on experience that brought classroom
topics to life.
Children from across year groups explored
the many exhibits showcasing Lincolnshire's
rich agricultural heritage, including livestock
displays, interactive farming activities, and
environmental exhibits. The pupils particularly
enjoyed the chance to pet animals, watch the
sheep shearing and BMX shows and take part
in a dog show!!! They were invited to form a
human agility course for the dog show being
conducted by Britain's Got Talent Finalist Lucy
Heath.
Teachers praised the event for its
educational value and the enthusiasm it sparked
in the children. “The Lincolnshire Show provides
a fantastic opportunity for pupils to connect with
the land and better understand where their food
comes from,” said one staff member.
From farm machinery to livestock, hunting dogs
to beekeeping, there really was something for
everyone at the show. We are already planning
next year's visit!
